To get the site up and running, we've used RedStar Energy for all the content management on the website - it allows the team to create search engine friendly webpages in seconds - and we expect to see good search engine rankings becoming visible without a great deal of effort.
The next phase was to develop the integration with the DVLA database of vehicles - allowing a potential customer to go onto the website, enter their vehicle registration details and within just a few seconds we can look-up the make, model and derivative of the bike.
Once we've matched a bike, the customer then steps through a series of five questions, which the WBAB team can easily change via a simple XML file format, and all the details then all the details are stored in a custom back-end customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
The site is currently in "phase one" of the development cycle, and the second phase will follow in the first quarter of 2010.
