One of the problems with having a growing web design business in Manchester (or anywhere for that matter) is you out-grow your office space!  And we've got to that point yet again... so we're leaving the Northern Quarter!

As of Monday, March 1st 2010 we'll be based in shiny new offices in Richmond House which is on Bloom Street in the gay village.

Our business is growning, and because of that we are looking for an excellent C# ASP.net developer to join RedStar.

You will have an excellent knowledge of C# and .net 3.5 - in particular you will have developed server-side controls, and experience of developing e-Commerce applications. As part of the role, you will be able to use Linq and have experience with jQuery, Silverlight and XML Web Service development.  In additional to this, but not essential would be an experience of developing WPF applications and services.

We are small but growing website development agency based in central Manchester. It's a hard-working but relaxed environment and they try to work with the latest technologies, and make the work interesting and enjoyable to do. Clients are varied and range from sole traders right through to several leading blue chip retailers such as JD Sports, and one of the world's most synonymous internet brands - eBay.

The role is expected to commence in mid to late March.

We've started the New Year with the addition of a new face to the RedStar team with Giles joining us to support Andy and Mark with website development and search engine optimisation.

Giles has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Manchester and joins us having previously worked for Sat Nav company Navteq in Salford Quays.

As the company has grown, long-gone are the days where just company owner Darren (aka me!!) responds to support queries... so I'd politely ask you to contact the support address in the first instance so we can direct your enquiry to the correct person.

To help us monitor and improve the service we offer, we're asking all customers to log a support ticket for all requests... even if they call up.  So if you're going to call us (which you are still more than welcome to do so), please pop a support ticket through first.

We wanted to start 2010 by giving our customers something for nothing... no initial cost, no ongoing fees and no hidden charges... so we looked at the list of requests for 2009 and the most common item was webmail!

Over the Christmas period the team that manage our server for us installed webmail software so all our customers that have their emails hosted on our servers can now check their emails from any computer at any time without having to install additional software.

To access webmail: Hover your mouse above the "customer logons" link above and then select webmail - easy!

Note for agencies: we can set up webmail logons direct on your domain name, hiding RedStar Creative - just give us a call.
